A Quest To Measure Up To Legacy
Someone once said, “Anyone can cook.” But when your grandfather was a culinary master, cooking isn’t just cooking, and you’re not just anyone. You are legacy, and you often feel the pressure of living up to expectations. But what, exactly, is expected? As you chase down your grandfather’s most famous recipe, he left you clues to uncover the secret to his success… and yours. But the question is: can you measure up?
You are given five clues that need to be solved at different locations within the Downtown Disney district and connected areas (no park admission required). You will have to determine the locations of the clues by reading the clues carefully. Once in the right location, you will have to use what you find at that location to solve the clue. Once you solve all five clues, you can move on to the Final Clue, which will require the answers to the other clues to solve. Solving the Final Clue will lead to opening the lock, receiving the treasure, and completing the quest.

What do I need to embark on this quest?
You will be given a game pack of clues, tools, and instructions. The entire game pack exists within a lanyard you can wear around your neck or bring into Downtown Disney. Everything you need to play, including the treasure, is in or connected to the lanyard.
This quest is not a race, you solve the clues in your own time and at your own pace. But be prepared: the gameboard can require alot of walking or moving throughout the Downtown Disney district area.
You may need to go through security multiple times if you believe clues are leading you to adjacent areas connected to Downtown Disney. The gameboard for this game is Downtown Disney, the plaza between the parks, and the two adjacent hotels. Disneyland and Disney’s California Adventure parks are NOT part of this game’s gameboard.
And just because we have received the question: you will not be cooking anything as part of this game. But if you’d like to snack at the bevy of delicious options in Downtown Disney while you play, we won’t stop you.
What if I need help solving the clues?
All Rabbit Hole Quest Craft quests come with built-in help if you need it. Using your smart device, simply go to the Help address for the quest (provided on the Quest Introduction card in your gamepack lanyard) to get the location of any given clue, a hint on how to solve the clue, or the answer to the clue. So you’re never left without the ability to move on should you get stuck.
How difficult is this quest?
We would qualify this quest as a 4/5 Hard challenge, appropriate for questers who can and enjoy solving riddles and ciphers, or enjoy escape rooms or spycraft. Having some knowledge of Downtown Disney, the Disneyland Hotel, and the Grand Californian is helpful in this quest. This quest has been tested and enjoyed by interested questers 16 and older.
What do we mean by “clue?” Try your hand at a Sample Clue to get a feel for how clues might be written.
